Veuve Clicquot La Grande Dame 2015

La Grande Dame 2015 is an exceptional sunny vintage for a wine full of tension and elegance. It reveals this great wine’s verticality thanks to the Pinot Noirs harvested from our historical Crus.

Details

As Madame Clicquot used to say 200 years ago, “Our black grapes give the finest white wines” an affirmation that still rings true. Beloved for its versatility, the Pinot Noir grape expresses itself differently according to its growing conditions and the year in which it is harvested.

As a fine blend of Veuve Clicquot’s historical Crus, La Grande Dame is the pinnacle of the Maison’s oenological prowess, with an immense ageing potential.

Contains sulphites.

Tasting Notes

Held up to the light, La Grande Dame 2015 reveals a beautiful, golden robe that sparkles brightly.

This solar vintage, while elegant and precise, offers fresh minerality with light floral notes of jasmine and acacia on the nose, which evolve into fruity notes of pear and clementine.

As for the first sip, it envelops the palate with a delightfully subtle, silky texture.

When it comes to food and wine pairing, La Grande Dame 2015 is the perfect match for Garden Gastronomy: a new, gastronomic experience inspired by La Grande Dame. A gastronomy straight from the garden, the best vegetables for the best grapes. Both assertive and sustainable in its luxury, Garden Gastronomy expresses itself through inverted dishes, where vegetables and fruits centre stage, while meat and fish are prepared like condiments.

Bettane + Desseauve
2025

"Didier Mariotti offers in his prestige cuvée the vintage 2015 of La Grande Dame in both white and rosé: two absolute monuments even though the rosé version will take a bit more time to fully open up. Rarely has the shift of this cuvée towards a style almost exclusively driven by Pinot Noir been expressed so brilliantly."

Le Figaro Wine
2024

"A haughty nose, evoking a walk among maritime pines, with aromas of beautiful white fruits and flowers, before a solar and controlled palate, singular but charismatic, notes of pears, and a deep, serious and elegant finish."

Robb Report
2024

"Madame Clicquot was fond of saying. “our black grapes give the finest white wines”, and this vintage Champagne made with 90 percent Pinot Noir is no exception. As chef de cave Didier Mariotti points out, “The acidity at the beginning whets your palate, while the bitterness at the end helps to create a long finish”. La Grande Dame is made only in exceptional years, and Mariotti describes 2015 as a “beautiful” vintage in Champagne, “all about tension and elegance”. A cuvée sourced from eight grand-cru appellation, LGD15 offers a bold expression of orchard fruit and precise, mineral-driven finish."
